The Rarest Treasure

In every group of friends, there will always be one person that will make you feel extra special. A friend that is always there for you in times that you need a shoulder to shed tears, a friend that will make your smiles after the storm, and a friend that will make your days ease.

Saying “Thank you” to these people will never be enough. Pleasant and grateful words and actions is all I can give back. There are times when friends argue on some things. But real friends will be wiser to think the value of their friendship than the cause of their fights.

Being a friend to someone is one of the greatest gift; and one of the precious treasures in the world.

Value your friends because before you have them, you first build the trust, love, genuine and courage. They teach us many things, and mostly all of our days were with them having fun.

I can say that my life is not complete without my extra special friend and friends. No matter how crazy they are, how dupe people see us when we are together, how embarrassing our looks together and how we laugh at small things, at least we laugh, learn many things. We make extraordinary memories, treasure and cherish them.

Though how many days and nights and years passed, there will always be at least one memory that will connect us forever. Because our friendship is cooler and stronger than the other, treating one other like siblings, a guardian at every hour, a family that will always be there and a home for our hearts and memories.

THANKS FOR BEING A COOL FRIEND. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Man and Nature

We live with the flow of nature; from being evolved into a modern human with other species. From the ice age up until this year’s climate. From the basic life to the modern-technology life. Many things are changing every year; for example, from being involved into a single food web to a complex one.

But as we go on, revolving with the evolution, there are things we forget; taking good care of our planet, Earth. Imagine you are living in a planet with big animals flying back and forth, fire standing closer reaching over you, waves of water rushing on your left side, earthquake and tsunamis, volcanoes were born, hunger, the extinction. An example of apocalypse.

What can we do for our planet? God gave us mind and body not to destroy our home, but to take care for the sake of every species at present and for the future generations.

Looking forward on today’s catastrophes, they became more devastating. For our country, Philippines in this year, suffered from earthquake in Bohol and super typhoon in Tacloban. Countless floods and typhoons were also felt on many areas.

Climate change is felt in every country. This also points that, when nature returns all of our cruel activities: cutting of trees, digging for gold, wasting of food, water and electricity,  too much factories and smokes, illegal fishing, WE CAN’T STOP THESE. That’s a law of nature that we’ve disobeyed. We don’t and will not have weapons to fight with nature. We will just go with it, end up crying, mourning, scared, unconscious. We can not blame nature for doing this climatic zone to us; we must blame ourselves!

Today, I dream of being wanted to see Earth back the way it used to be; healthy, simple, smoke free, many birds flying in the beautiful sky, fresh water flowing in the rivers, lakes, oceans and seas, fresh and cold wind blowing my hair, birds singing freely, no more mad and cruel people, more aware and responsible humans. A green nature. Greener Earth. Greener home. For everyone, for today and for the next generations.

  Rainy Days

During rainy days, I feel the peace of nature and life. Like a person, when they can’t
handle things anymore, they want to cry or to get mad. When clouds can’t handle water anymore, it starts to fall as raindrops. I believe that rain is not just created to water plants, to sustain water for us or to make us and our clothes wet. It is created to wash the riddle of mind, make us feel the calmness and enjoy the cold-gray weather.

I like rain not because I’m an “emo” person, but because I appreciate what nature’s life is.

Whenever it’s raining, I will just lay down on the couch in the lounge; watch the rain fall on the window beside from where I’m laying, embrace the cold wind, and drink coffee on my favorite mug. Besides, I like rainy days because I’m staying inside my house.  Taking day off to all the dramas, the problems, the exertions. Everything. My world pause, and the only thing I can feel is the happiness and calmness.

This makes me appreciate little things in life; that everything has its own value. And rain and raindrops, they make me feel that I’m not alone; that nature is always here for us. It’s not bad to enjoy small things. Smile and go with the drops of rain.
